Outrageous Orchid Paintings

There are a series of orchid paintings, which can be hung together as a group like tiles,  or on their own. 

I love the mix of strength and beauty of orchids. They don’t need soil to grow, they get all the nutrients they need from air.

Orchids are thought to have been around more than 200-million years – an enduring and tough plant. There are around 120 species of wild native orchids in New Zealand. 

Orchids are believed to represent love, beauty, strength, and refinement. In ancient Greece, they were associated with virility, the ancient Aztecs believed they meant strength and power and in China orchids have been seen as a symbol for many children.
