This gorgeous painting is done in turquoise, green, a fresh squeeze of lime, with cute goldfish or could also be koi swimming in a pond. There is iridescence, like sunlight flickering through the water. This painting has many layers, it looks watery and floaty, almost like it's alive. There are ferns, floating leaves, lily pads and water droplets on it, which create a sense of movement. In the corner a darling dragonfly zips in. Dragonflies are indicators of freshwater health. I really wanted to pop a frog in this artwork too, but I didn't see one!
The painting has a 3D like feel to it, and you'll notice different things within it depending on lighting and time of the day. It's quite tricky to pick up the special effects in the photos, so I've popped a few clips up.
This art piece was inspired by the gorgeous tropical outdoor goldfish streams and lily ponds in Rarotonga; The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Lagoonarium - if you're ever there look closely at the lush water features at the entrance. Inspired also by the Maire Nui Botanic Gardens and Cafe. The Maire Nui gardens are outstanding, there are seven acres of spectacular tropical gardens with lush cooling lily ponds and beautiful mountain views. A wonderful place to chill and relax. I met a writer there, a fantastic Vet originally from London then Auckland - who was writing a book. She read some of it to me, and it was amazing! It occurred to me, she could be the Cook Islands version of Robert Louis Stevenson.
Adults and children alike will love this piece, it'll certainly be a generational family talking point for years to come. Yes, wee hands feeling the painting are allowed, as the surface wipes clean.

The artworks are finished in a UV resistant resin which gives it that glass like finish. However, for longevity it’s best not to place this painting, or any artwork, or even humans or animals in direct UV / sunlight.
All multimedia work is created using top quality materials and arrives ready to be hung, with hanging hardware already attached to the back. But should you wish to professionally frame – you can do that too.

Full disclosure: The artworks, like the artist, are not perfect. I have a Siberian Husky dog called Sasquatch and some loose strands of fur may be forever immortalized in your painting, although I can’t guarantee that either!
