Iridescent Iced Floating Peony Flowers

This large 3D floral painting seems like it's floating in iced water. 

The artwork feels interactive yet serene and calm. It has a delicate colourway in dusky pink, red, cerise, white, cream and apricot, on a dark background with a transluscent blue / violet shimmer.  The shimmer glints and it almost looks like icing, or ice on a pond, loch or a lake.

The piece is so pretty, with colours in places you don’t expect them. It has a surreal feeling of floating in water. There are water droplets on the top layer which creates a sense of watery movement. I kept adding layers which peek out from beneath.

There are peonies, roses and lots of other flowers with a cute wee blue butterfly. 

I've added lots of photos and clips as this artwork changes colour and has iridescence shimmers depending on how the light interacts with it. I paint at different times of the day and night, to create special effects, as my paintings interact with light sources. Depending on which way the light hits the painting, different things will become more prevalent and noticeable.

It's quite tricky to pick up the special effects in the photos. So I’ve shown the painting from different angles and lighting. There’s a few short clips up close which also show colour shimmers and water droplets, which also look like refractions of light hitting the water.

This painting has a real sense of depth and is deeply layered. It feels like you're either looking into water or through water. It's taken me 9 long years of patience and processes to complete, but it was worth it, as I'm stoked with the result. 

Full disclosure; Part of my Artist signature is a single white Husky dog hair forever immortalized in this painting. Hard to see as it looks like part of the artwork you might find it - but I've got eagle artist eyes so I know it's there. Compliments of my much loved soul mutt Sasquatch.

My paintings all come with hardware on the back and ready to hang.  The painting is created on box canvas with the sides painted black, so doesn't require framing, however you can frame if you wish. Also my work does not need glass, as has a resin finish which looks like glass and wipes clean.
