This gorgeous painting is done in turquoise, deep blue, green and a fresh squeeze of lime, with cute goldfish or could also be koi or carp swimming in a stream or pond. There is iridescence, and sparkles like sunlight flickering through the water. This painting has many layers, it looks watery and floaty.
The painting has a 3D like feel to it, and you'll notice different things within it depending on lighting and time of the day. It's quite tricky to pick up the special effects in the photos, so I've popped a short clip up which also show the vibrant colours and sparkly bits which look like droplets or refractions of light hitting the water.
This painting can be hung vertically or horizontally and has hardware on the back to hang either way.
This art piece was inspired by the gorgeous tropical outdoor goldfish streams and lily ponds in Rarotonga; The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Lagoonarium - if you're ever there, look closely at the lush water features at the entrance. Inspired also by the Maire Nui Botanic Gardens and Cafe. The Maire Nui gardens are outstanding, there are seven acres of spectacular tropical gardens with lush cooling lily ponds and beautiful mountain views. A wonderful place to chill and relax. I met a writer there, a fantastic Vet originally from London then Auckland - who was writing a book, which she read some of to me. Her story was amazing! It occurred to me; she could be the Cook Islands version of Robert Louis Stevenson.
The two or twin fish also represent Pisces, the twelfth and final astrological sign in the zodiac. As the final sign, Pisces has absorbed every lesson, including the joy and pain, hope and fear, learnt by all of the other signs. This makes these fish the most psychic, empathetic, and compassionate creatures of the astrological wheel.
Adults and children alike will love this piece, it'll certainly be a generational family talking point for years to come. Yes, wee hands feeling the painting are allowed, as the surface wipes clean.
I've paired this painting with the soothing vibes of the tune called 'Mula Edit of Eric Satie's- Gymnopédie N°1', listen on YouTube. I particulary like the sample of the pianist Erik Satie's "First Gymnopédie".

The artworks are finished in a UV resistant resin which gives it that glass like finish. However, for longevity it’s best not to place this painting, or any artwork, or even humans or animals in direct UV / sunlight.
All multimedia work is created using top quality materials and arrives ready to be hung, with hanging hardware already attached to the back. But should you wish to professionally frame – you can do that too.
Full disclosure: The artworks, like the artist, are not perfect. I have a Siberian Husky dog called Sasquatch and some loose strands of fur may be forever immortalized in your painting, although I can’t guarantee that either!
That said, I want you to be 100% happy with your painting and I understand that buying art online can be challenging. So, I offer a 7-day return policy.
